AN UNSEASONABLY COOL AND WET FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL BRING SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION AND BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES TO WESTERN WASHINGTON THIS WEEKEND… GREATEST IMPACT ON THE MOUNTAIN BACKCOUNTRY... THE SNOW LEVEL WILL FALL TO AROUND 6000 FEET BY SUNDAY...ONE TO TWO FEET OF NEW SNOW IS EXPECTED ABOVE THE SNOW LEVEL.

4 SEP 09...A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS NORTHWEST OREGON AND SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON ON SATURDAY... SNOW LEVELS IN THE MOUNTAINS ARE EXPECTED TO FALL TO 6000 FEET IN THE SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON CASCADES...6500 FEET IN THE NORTH OREGON CASCADES AND 7000 FEET IN THE CASCADES OF LANE COUNTY... 3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED AT THE HIGHER SKI RESORTS AND LOCATIONS SUCH AS TIMBERLINE.
