US breaks or ties 218 November snowfall records

Total Number of Records for November 2009
New records + Tied: 26 = Total: 218

25 Nov 09 - "Here's a list of November snowfall records to date," says reader Chuck Clancy. After the 3rd coldest October on record, I think this says a lot.

I remember reading that an Ice Age doesn't need to have extremely low temps, just an increase in precip at slightly cooler temps, many of these records are also from Alaska, after all, aren't the great Ice sheets born in the North and travel south?" Food for thought."
