Hi Robert, I am a long time visitor to ‘iceagenow’. I really enjoy reading and visiting all the links. I cannot imagine all the work that goes into it.

After a year or so of researching the topics: ‘global warming’ and ‘global cooling’. It is pretty scary to realize how the IPCC operates. How large masses of people take their word as ‘gospel’, and how, reputable scientists are ignored or aggressively attacked in the media because their views differ from that of the official line adopted by the IPCC.

As for the IPCC, why is it not a search for scientific truths but rather ‘I am right and you are wrong’? The IPCC, while trying to prove they are ‘right’, will do anything and everything, even if that means purposely falsifying/manipulating data, the disgraceful abuses of the peer review process, and their total disregard of the scientific process. The list of sinful behavior goes on and on.

Even now, as the science coming  in does not support the ‘theory of AGW ‘, the IPCC stands defiant and refuses to accept that there might be other factors, such as solar activity, that might be involved in the 'late 20th century temperature rise'. The idea that this temperature rise, and now a global cooling trend, has more to do with natural cycles rather than our own involvement seems to be unacceptable to the IPCC. Is this because those involved realize the money to be made with ‘AGW’? Or the lack of money, I should say, when a ‘carbon trading’ scheme is no longer required.

The IPCC continues to send more and more ‘alarmist’ type messages, messages of what might happen if we don’t cut our carbon emissions. Future events that are predicted by computer models, models whose outcomes reflect the inputs of their modelers. Still, the IPCC sends their fictitious message. The problem is not only ‘the message’ but it is the way in which the IPCC sends their message. The tactics and the type of propaganda used have a very familiar echo.

“All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.”

“Strength lies not in defense but in attack.”

The way they push the: ‘convenient non-truths’ of ‘global warming’ in our schools.

“He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future.”

How the common person has fallen victim to ‘bad science’ and the intentional deception by the IPCC.

“The great masses of the people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one.”

“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.”

“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.”

How can so many people believe what the IPCC says, even when the science does not support their claims?

“How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think.”

“It is not truth that matters, but victory.”

When the IPCC becomes more about ideology rather than the truth, it starts to resemble a ‘religion’ rather than science.

“It is always more difficult to fight against faith than against knowledge.”

I know the ‘warming movement’ will label me as a denier. They might even use their harsh comparison that my ‘warming denial’ is like that of a ‘holocaust denier’. The irony is; the quotes I used sound similar to tactics employed by the IPCC, to push their ideology and political agenda. Those quotes were spoken by ‘Adolf Hitler’. Ironic!

Robert, keep up the good work. Thank you for your tireless work, for your help in giving science a platform. For guiding those interested in science, links and stories that reflect what is ‘really’ happening on our planet.

I really hope there are some truths to ‘global warming’ because if we are heading into a lengthy period of global cooling, or worse, the end of the Holocene, I would welcome any offset to the approaching cold! Thank god for the increase in Co2, it might just help if/when our growing season is shortened.

Thanks again for your great web page.
