Snow in Colorado mountains today - cold in Denver

 __________________

21 Sep 09 – The season's first widespread snowfall is expected to hit the mountains today with accumulations of up to 4 inches above 7,500 feet, says the National Weather Service.

Some areas may receive even more. According to reader Jonathan Lerner, more than 10 inches of snow has already fallen on Conifer, CO.

Drivers and travelers in the high country should expect slushy roads, especially over mountain passes.

Cold, wet weather will likely continue in the mountains through the week.

“Gardeners beware: Overnight temperatures in Denver will slip into the upper 30s tonight and tomorrow, the weather service warns.”
