Record low in northern Nevada
a wide margin"
We enjoyed Not by Fire but by Ice and have proof - a deep chill here in N. Nevada.
It was -18.7F last Wednesday morning per our ranch weather station, definitely a record for fall by a wide margin. The WRCC for Nevada stated that -6F was previous record for fall: date, Nov. 30th, 2004. We got about 8 total inches of snow, too, and still have about 6 inches on the ground. Even though we are almost always a bit colder than the surrounding counties, all areas have experienced an early freeze snap.
Don't you love it how new cold records get broken every time there is a climate conference? Proving, once again, weather has a sense of humor. Frankly, I could use a little of that global warming...things grow much better.
