Mini-ice age in our future?
By meteorologist Joseph D'Aleo
______________________________

28 Aug 08 – “Some scientists believe that an extreme cooling episode, potentially a mini-ice age, is imminent. Others think that it may already be under way.

“There is another possible explanation for—or, at least, influence on—climate change. This involves natural factors, most notably the Sun and Earth's oceans. We at the Almanac are among those who believe that sunspot cycles and their effects on oceans correlate with climate changes. Studying these and other factors suggests that a cold, not warm, climate may be in our future.

Meteorologist Joseph D’Aleo was the first Director of Meteorology
at The Weather Channel and is former chairman of the American
Meteorological Society’s Committee on Weather Analysis and
      Forecasting.

D'Aleo once said, "If the atmosphere was a 100 story building, our
annual anthropogenic (man-made) CO2 contribution today would
be equivalent to the linoleum on the first floor."
