15 Jun 09 – (Excerpts) – “Argentina's Perito Moreno glacier is
(supposedly) one of only a few ice fields worldwide that have withstood
rising global temperatures.”
“Nourished by Andean snowmelt, the glacier
constantly grows even as it spawns icebergs the size of apartment
buildings into a frigid lake, maintaining a nearly perfect equilibrium
since measurements began more than a century ago.”
Perito Moreno, a vast, 19-mile-long (30km) and
3-mile-wide (5 km) river of ice, is the largest glacier in Patagonia.
Funny how each time we read about another growing
glacier, it's
always "one
of the only few" that are growing.
More than 90%
of the worlds glaciers are growing, and still, each
one is "one
of the only few."

I’d like to note that I’ve had the Perito Moreno
glacier listed on this
website for several years as one of the multitude of
glaciers that are
growing. The last
time I checked, it was advancing at the rate of 7 feet
per day.

“Global warming? Think again,” says reader Jimmy Walter.
“I use
MyYahoo. I get 4 science news summaries and 10 regular
news
summaries. The number of global warning articles per
day is
never less than 2, sometimes as many as 10!
This is
propaganda!
Repetition
conditions people who are too stupid or lazy to read
the truth. We
are being conditioned to believe this non-sense.” |
