Gore’s Bait and Switch Scam

"Don’t believe the hype," says Richard Lindzen, Professor of
Atmospheric Science at M.I.T. "Al Gore is wrong. There's no ‘consensus’ 
on global warming."

"Mr. Gore assures us that ‘the debate in the scientific community is over’
[concerning global warming]," says Lindzen. "It has never been clear to me what
this 'debate' actually is in the first place."

Lindzen goes on to list three issues that he has with Gore's statements.

"Such claims," says Lindzen, "serve to intimidate the public and even scientists--especially those outside the area of climate dynamics.

"Given that the question of human attribution [to so-called global warming] largely cannot be resolved," says Lindzen, "its use in promoting visions of disaster constitutes nothing so much as a bait-and-switch scam."

establish truth not by scientific methods but by perpetual
