Global Warming Diplomats Jumping Ship

18 Feb 10 - The "Global Warming: Meltdown" hit high gear Thursday morning with the sudden resignation of Yvo de Boer, the Dutch diplomat who failed in four years in office and two international conferences - including Copenhagen - to get the nations of the world to reach a formal global warming agreement.   

The crumbling of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) since  a series of revelations about unacceptable scientific practices has substantially weakened its credibility. "It is not surprising to see the diplomats jumping ship," commented John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel. "It is better to get off now than go down with the sinking Climate Change Cruise Ship that seems to have found icy waters."

Meanwhile, observers are waiting for the head of IPPC Rajendra Pachauri, who has been charged with fraud in connection with obtaining research funding to investigate melting of the Himalayan glaciers, to step down from his post

      I don't think it's enough that de Boer and Pachauri resign. I think
      the entire UN climate change apparatus - including the IPCC - is
      corrupt, biased, self-serving, and should be dismantled.
