Frost on Pumpkin Debunks Global Warming Tales

By Phil Brennan

14 Oct 09 (Excerpts) “Okay. Let's get this straight once and for all: There is no such thing as global warming,” says this article today on

“For the past decade, global temperatures have been falling, yet Congress and the Obama administration are bound and determined to enact into law a Draconian measure known as cap and trade that will cripple the economy and send tens of thousands of jobs abroad. It will thrust a heavier financial burden on the shoulders of the American people as energy costs "skyrocket" — in Obama's own words — all in the name of saving the world from a climate problem that just plain doesn't exist.

“A passel of idiots tells the tale, which flies in the face of scientific facts, yet continues to be the national policy of the Obama administration and his minions on Capitol Hill. And unless the American people rise up and shout STOP, cap and trade will become law.

"In an e-mail to me, eminent Canadian scientist Dr. Tim Ball described the CO2 situation: “CO2 is not a pollutant, but the most important gas because without it plants don't survive. No plants, no oxygen therefore no life at all. At 385 ppm it is at the lowest level in 600 million years and to reduce it puts the plants in jeopardy. At 250 ppm they weaken and begin to die. At 150 ppm most are dead. Double the amount and plants grow much more vigorously and they are most productive at 1000 to 1200 ppm. Commercial greenhouses use these levels to quadruple the yields.”

Brennan goes on to quote “’s brilliant Robert Felix”
(has a good ring to it, don't you think?), pointing out that huge amounts
of CO2 rise out of oceans heated by undersea volcanic eruptions, and
that the vaunted computer programs somehow failed to forecast our
present cooling trend, which is expected to last for the next 30 years
or so and could even lead us into a new little ice age.

“No matter how you look at it," Brennan winds up, "it's a tale told by idiots.”
