Florida temperature falls to record low

______________________________

25 Sep 08 – Gainesville’s temperature fell to 55 degrees shortly before dawn, according to the National Weather Service in Jacksonville. Forecaster Peter Keegan said that beat the old record low of 56 degrees set in 1967.

Keegan also said that there is a chance they could break the low record again tonight. The forecast calls for an overnight low in the mid to upper 50s and the record low for the date was 57 degrees set in 1914.
