Five potential super volcanoes

15 Apr 2005 – Here’s a link that will let you track five potential super volcanoes. Of major concern is the Pago Caldera in New Britain, Papua New Guinea, which is newly erupting and capable of a super eruption. Others in danger of doing the same are: Popocatepetl Caldera in Mexico City, Mexico, Rabaul Caldera in Papua New Guinea, Santa Maria Caldera in Guatemala; and Ambrym Caldera in Malampa Province, Vanuatu.

It would be bad enough if just one of these should erupt as a super volcano.
But all five? That would destroy civilization as we know it.
