THIS IS THE BIGGEST DECEMBER SNOWSTORM SINCE THE DECEMBER 1968 
STORM...WHICH LEFT 8 TO 14 INCHES OF SNOW ACROSS PORTLAND AND
VANCOUVER AREAS.  IT IS THE BIGGEST SNOWSTORM OF THE WINTER SEASON
SINCE THE JANUARY 1980 STORM.

HOWEVER...THIS SAID...THIS STORM WILL NOT RANK IN THE TOP 5
SNOWSTORMS FOR MANY LOCATIONS DUE TO BIGGER SNOW EVENTS BETWEEN THE
LATE 1800S TO MID 1900S.

LISTED
ARE THE BIGGEST SNOWSTORMS (WITH MONTH IN WHICH IT OCCURRED)
THE SNOWIEST DECEMBERS (TOTAL FOR MONTH)
AND THE SNOWIEST MONTH DURING THE WINTER SEASON.
