Bali High, Kansas Low
by Phil Brennan
12 Dec 07 - Scene One: Bali, Indonesia. Ten thousand representatives from 180 nations gather under the warm rays of the Sun and bask in temperatures in the mid-80s on an all-expenses paid, two week sojourn in this tropical paradise to discuss global warming which the sponsoring UN warns is barbecuing the earth.
Scene Two: Kansas, Missouri and much of the Central Plains are staggering under an ice storm that has killed more the 30 people, shut off electric power to 533,000 customers in several states in the Central Plains leaving them shivering in the bitter cold, downing ice-laden trees, turning highways into skating rinks, and creating an emergency that could last as long as ten days.
If we accept the assertions of Al Gore and the hundreds of scientists now enjoying the balmy breezes in Bali the arctic regions are warming, ice and snow packs are melting and it's only a matter of time before winter as we know it will be a thing of the past and the world will look like ... Well ...
Don't try to tell that to the folks in Ekati, Canada where the temperature last night was 33 degrees below zero or Lutsel where the thermometer dropped to 34 degrees below zero. It's from such places that the ice storms come from.
Not everybody now in Bali agrees with the IPCC
No wonder. Instead of toeing the line set by the global warming Mafia, Monckton asserted "Climate change is a non problem. The right answer to a non problem is to have the courage to do nothing."
"It is a circus here," said Australian scientist Dr. David Evans, refuting the UN's climate claims. Evans authored a November 28, 2007 paper "Carbon Emissions Don't Cause Global Warming."
Evans touted a new peer-reviewed study by a team of scientists appearing in the December 2007 issue of the International Journal of Climatology of the Royal Meteorological Society which found "Warming is naturally caused and shows no human influence."
"All the science of the IPCC is unsound"
Added UN IPCC reviewer and climate researcher Dr. Vincent Gray of New Zealand, an expert reviewer on every single draft of the IPCC reports since its inception going back to 1990, "All the science of the IPCC is unsound. If you examine every single proposition of the IPCC thoroughly, you find that the science somewhere fails," Gray wrote the book "The Greenhouse Delusion: A Critique of "Climate Change 2001."
"More about fraud than anything else"
New Zealander Bryan Leland of the International Climate Science Coalition warned participants that all the UN promoted discussions of "carbon trading" should be viewed with suspicion. "I am an energy engineer and I know something about electricity trading and I know enough about carbon trading and the inaccuracies of carbon trading to know that carbon trading is more about fraud than it is about anything else," Leland said.
Financial ruin for many nations
Owen McShane, the head of the International Climate Science Coalition, also worried that a UN promoted global approach to economics would mean financial ruin for many nations. "I don't think this conference can actually achieve anything because it seems to be saying that we are going to draw up one protocol for every country in the world to follow," McShane said. "I wouldn't be surprised if the ones who remain unscathed are the ones who write the rules," he added.
The world is teetering on the brink of a new ice age
Ignoring the truth, that if anything the world is teetering on the
brink of a new Ice Age, is nothing short of criminal, If Gore and his UN
buddies get their way, the very resources the world needs to keep warm -
oil, coal, etc will be kept out of the hands of the people by UN
As the evidence mounts up, it is becoming clear that the IPCC is more
of a criminal enterprise smuggling the snake oil of phony science to the
public than a legitimate scientific body, and Al Gore is the group's
