A foot of snow in West Virginia

30 Jan 10 - Southern West Virginia picked up several inches of snow through early Saturday, with as much as a foot on the state's highest elevations.

Mingo County and other counties in the southern coalfields had received around 8 inches by Saturday afternoon, the Charleston-Huntington area around 4 to 5 inches, and light snow was expected few more hours in Charleston.

      Hey Robert,

They predicted that we would only get about an inch, but I have
4 inches in my back yard right now and I just paid some guy 15
bucks to shovel my front steps, walk and driveway. It's also back
down to teens/20s in temperature as well. Here's a link to the
latest snow report in WV. (BTW, the Charleston snow is definitely
being underreported. I am literally looking out my window and
can see 4 solid inches on everything.)
