an area north of the Arctic island of Jan Mayen featuring pinnacles from
which streamed water nearly 500 degrees F and saw sea life including

there I toured a replica of an old coal mine. The tour guide pointed to
a tiny birdcage which, in one of those old-time mines, would have
housed a canary.
