25 Dec 10 Last year we had an Xmas Eve 6" with of snow followed by an ice storm and no power for 2-3 days in Blowing Rock, NC (elev 3600 ft, Blue Ridge Mtns). This year, there's 5-6" on the ground of really, really slick stuff with 4-7" to follow Sunday through Monday AM. Even Charlotte is getting 3-6", and I told my employees not to come in Monday and likely Tuesday. Here's a photo of a 7" ruler on my deck - 6" at 8:15 AM EST Sunday
This makes over 30" this winter in Blowing Rock, and we had 90"+ last winter, more than Buffalo! www.booneweather.com/Forecast/Blowing+Rock# gives the forecast for the upcoming week, and the areas west of here are getting twice as much snow! Also, have you seen where Denmark has been ripped off from carbon-credit trading to the tune of $78B? That's 2% of their GDP...now that's social justice at its finest.
