Wall of water rips through Toowoomba

10 Jan 11 - Hi Robert, the film clip here shows the staggering force of a wall of water ripping through Toowoomba earlier today.

7 confirmed dead now and more missing :-(

"Toowoomba is a bloody big mountain in the middle of a flattish land mass," says Laurel.

"From Brisbane the capital it's a 2 hr+ drive almost all uphill, this event..no warning, really a flash flood.

"The other side of the hill in the flatlands...Dalby, I was looking at Dalby Tara and Chinchilla to live in some 4 yrs back.

Boy am I glad I stayed south.
