Great email from a reader in Mexico 12 Jan 08 - Hello! my name is Carlos Sèbastien Rosan, I am from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico (northern Mexico). I was recently on Yahoo Mexico cheking my e-mail, when I saw that in the news section it said Nieve en Bagadad (Snow in Baghdad), and since I frequently visit your website because I think it is the truth, unlike that global warming BS. Anyway, I went to the USA Yahoo page and got the article in English so you can read it, the low in Baghdad was 27F, and it is said to be the first time in 100 years that it snows there. Here in this part of Mexico, we saw snow on December 16, and January 2, which is not uncommon, but what is uncommon is that we have been getting A-LOT below freezing temperatures for more days than the norm (but not record breaking cold). The low on January 2 was 22F here, and in Mexico City there was sleet, and snow in the snow in the sorrounding forests with a low of 26F(-3C) IN CENTRAL MEXICO CITY! It is not record breaking cold, but it is way below the norm, and dozens of people all over central and northern Mexico, and every major city in central and northern Mexico experienced temperatures below freezing on those days. I would like to contribute with this link about the snow day in Baghdad http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080111/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_first_snow_in_memory
