It tells of “A strong smell of sulphur across Christchurch’s eastern suburbs" following the 7.1 earthquake.

One resident said that "it smelt similar to Rotorua," and that their spring well water had a distinctive sulphur smell.

Another said she’d found sulphur dust on her car and was sure that it wasn’t pollen
