10 Dec 10 - As negotiators from nearly 200 countries met in Cancun to fight global warming, the temperature in the seaside Mexican city plunged to a 100-year record low. (54F on Dec 7). Not just once, mind you, but six days running. Six straight days of record low temperature during the U.N. COP16 Global Warming conference in Cancun, Mexico, says meteorologist Anthony Watts. "That’s galactically inconvenient," says Watts. "The whole month so far has averaged below normal. And there's more on the way." Cancun's weather "is decidedly chilling against the concept of hampering economic growth to limit Co2 emissions." says Duncan Davidson in Wall Street Pit.
