The storm dumped about 6 inches (15 cm) of snow on Tripoli as temperatures dipped to 25 degrees F (-4 degrees C). Steady snow fell on Istanbul, and piled up across much of Turkey's interior.
Snowfall measured half-a-foot (15 cm) in Ankara, and more than a
foot (30 cm) at Afronkarahisar, in the middle west.
