One of Minnesota's Latest May Snowfalls
on Record

6 May 10 - I can only imagine how thrilled Minnesotans were on May 20,
1892, when the Twin Cities was blanketed under 3" of snow. If we do get
1-2" of slush we'll wind up on the Top 10 List. What a great honor huh?

National Weather Service Twin Cities - Measurable snow is back in the
forecast for much of central and southern Minnesota and into west
central Wisconsin. Normal snowfall for the month of May in the Twin
Cities is 0.1 inch. The following table shows the top ten latest
measurable snowfalls for the Twin Cities area for the period 1885-2009.
Measurable snowfall means a snow amount of at least 0.1 (one tenth) of
an inch.MN
