Obama should boycott
Copenhagen
Three cheers for Palin
|
9 Dec 09 - "In a piece titled "Copenhagen Political Science," the former Alaska governor charged that "leading climate 'experts'" have "destroyed records, manipulated data to 'hide the decline' in global temperatures, and tried to silence their critics by preventing them from publishing in peer-reviewed journals," says this article on MSNBC.
Concerns over global warming are "doomsday scare tactics pushed by an environmental priesthood," said Palin. "This scandal obviously calls into question the proposals being pushed in Copenhagen."
Gore scoffed at Palin's words, insisting that "the deniers are persisting in an era of unreality. The entire North Polar ice cap is disappearing before our eyes ... what do they think is happening?"
What do I think is
happening? I think Gore is trying to play us for the
fool. Why? Because the amount of Arctic sea ice is
increasing dramatically.
Although some 10 million sq. kilometers (3.8 million
sq. miles) of sea-ice
melts each summer, each September the Arctic starts to
freeze again. As
of three months ago, the extent of the ice was 500,000
square kilometers
(190,000 sq miles) greater than it was at that last
year – which was, in
turn, 500,000 sq km more than in September 2007, the
lowest point recently
recorded. By April, after months of darkness, it will
be back up to 14 million
sq km (5.4 million sq miles) or more.
Read that again. As of
three months ago, the extent of the ice was 500,000
square kilometers (190,000 sq miles) greater than it
was at that last year –
which was, in turn, 500,000 sq km more than in
September 2007.

Stop lying to us, Al.
We're witnessing "natural, cyclical environmental trends," said Palin. "We can't say with assurance that man's activities cause weather changes."
President Barack Obama should boycott the upcoming climate change conference in Denmark, said Palin. "Without trustworthy science and with so much at stake, Americans should be wary about what comes out of this politicized conference."
Three cheers for Palin.
