Environment Canada says some areas of London saw up to 80 centimetres (31.5 inches) of snow on Monday. Another 20 or 30 cm (11.8 inches) was projected for Tuesday, with yet another 10 cm expected on Wednesday. Snowfall totals in excess of one metre (39 inches) are forecast in some areas. In comparison, London received a total of only 108 centimetres of snow between December 2009 and March 2010. London's single day record snowfall was 57 centimetres, set on this day in 1977.
