More power rationing in China
Has already occurred in six provinces
15 Jan 10 - A rising number of Chinese provinces are preparing to
introduce power rationing due to the harsh winter, says this article
from Reuters.
Rationing has already occurred in six provinces.
"Coal stocks at major coal-fired power plants, which generate about 80
percent of China's power output, have been at 17-month lows in recent
days as harsh weather, strained transportation, insufficient coal
production and rising coal prices curbed stockpiling at power plants."
This is what you get when you turn control of your energy
production over to the
government. We would be nuts to
even consider that.
And yet, Obama wants to curtail coal production. This is a
perfect example of will
happen if he is allowed to get away
with it.
