Midwest braces for "historic storm"

Hey Robert,

We're about to get hit by the worst winter storm in about 25 years. The results will be devastating. Expecting up to 2 inches of ice and winds gusting over 30mph. I will likely lose power and possibly for a long time.   - Dan Hammer

For some locations, the storm may be much longer than a typical winter storm and grow much worse with time, says Accuweather.com.

"A blizzard will target areas from Wichita Falls to Oklahoma City, Wichita, Kansas City and Chicago with blinding snow and extensive blowing and drifting. The snow could fall fast enough to strand motorists on roadways."

"The bottom line is a historic storm is on the doorstep impacting not only people in the Midwest, but on the Plains and in the Northeast with similar concerns as well as a severe weather threat for part of the South."
