12 Apr 09 - Galapagos National Park officials say La Cumbre
volcano began spewing lava, gas and smoke on uninhabited Fernandina
Island on Saturday after four years of inactivity.

The park said the
eruption is not a threat to
people living on nearby Isabela Island, but that lava flowing to the sea
will likely affect marine life.
So
again, we have 2,150-degree lava pouring into the ocean – ten
times
the boiling point - and we keep blaming humans for heating
the
seas.
