Earthquake shakes New Zealand capital

1 Mar 11 - A magnitude 4.5 earthquake has shaken New Zealand's capital Wellington, a week after a much larger tremor devastated Christchurch.

Though a caller to a radio station said "it was quite a rock" and "my bed really rocked, police say there have been no reports of damage so far.

Robert,

Per USGS, a 4.0 mag quake occurred on March 1, near Christchurch, not near Wellington.  USGS incident report lists this at 25 km from Christchurch and 311 km from Wellington...perhaps it was only 'felt' in Wellington?
