As if that weren't enough, more than 1½ inches of rain fell in less than half an hour Tuesday evening, continuing a miserable week-long trend. On Monday morning, O’Hare airport recorded 0.6 inches of snow, breaking the previous record of 0.4 inches set in 1910.
