"Between about 3pm and 4.30pm, a sudden snowfall paralysed areas including Guisborough and Saltburn town centres. "It was the huge amount of snow during the short spell of time that caused the trouble. One driver said: “I’ve lived in Guisborough 30 years and it’s among the worst snow I’ve seen.”
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Some people were forced to
